Episode 299 - Mid Year GOLD - The Power Of Perceived Value

Episode 299 – Mid Year GOLD – The Power Of Perceived Value

Today, I’m going to tell you a story about wine tasting
and a guy who spent $5k on a golf club…

I’m also putting together some VERY exciting teaching as a partnership with some other cool people…stay tuned for details!

You’ve all had that customer who is a cheapskate. The guy who has money, but doesn’t want to pay. Asks you to down cut your prices and do it for 1/2 of what you quoted. The one who doesn’t understand the value, the pain and the fear they should feel for not having a clean carpet, a dirty roof, etc.

The truth is that the next day this person would go to the golf shop and buy $5k on a putter and feel totally amazing and empowered by it.

To him, that was the smartest $5k he could have spent.

Well, everyone is both types of buyer. There are price sensitive and value conscious buyers. It just depends on who you are an what’s important to you in your life.

Makes so much sense. I am going to start trying to reach out taking more care of the customers I have then more then worrying as much about new ones. To show them they are valued and my values.
    Quick story:
I met with a guy, I gave him a quote ($1500 house wash, big ticket for me), he didn’t get back to me, I text him with no response, I emailed him with no response, I finally called him, and he booked with us. I think he just wanted to know that we cared and wanted his business. ( He is a older guy that seems to always have been a do it yourselfer)
This also is a guy that I washed his boat and painted the bottom of his boat. Very expensive . It cost double of what his house is, and the boat is on 24 feet long. And his house is pretty big, and nice river home.( He didn’t know it was me personally, that did it since he hired the marina). ( Most expensive in our area)
